Envisioning the Future of On-Demand Air Transportation
UBER Air aims to have it's first on-demand air travel demonstration to the public in year 2020. In a multidisciplinary team of 4 of interaction design, graduate transportation system design and graduate industrial design students, we were challenged to envisioned the future of on-demand air travel and design a holistic system of eVTOL, Skyport and Mobile interface to deliver a safe, hassle-free and convenient experience for busy commuters in Dallas, Dubai and Los Angeles.
Building Excitement and a Path Towards Commercialization

Archer Aviation is a Palo Alto based Urban Air Transportation company on mission to bring electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicle to our everyday lives and commuters in cities. Archer and United Airlines announced it's first commercial electric air taxi route from Downtown Manhattan to Newark Liberty International Airport in 2025 and has joined forces with Stallantis to manufacture it's Midnight eVTOL.
Challenge
Design a 2 seater eVTOL that is commercially viable and technically feasible to build a path towards certification and commercialization.

Outcome
Production of full scale experimental eVTOL.​

Impact
Archer was valued at $2.7B at Initial Public Offering/Built a path towards FAA Certification/Set design foundation for Midnight.

CHALLENGE
Design a 4-seater eVTOL and vision to raise capital and build a world-class team to open up new frontiers.

OUTCOME
4-seater eVTOL exterior and interior concept design / visual content and 3D animation to support narrative / lead photography and lead initial art direction.​
​
IMPACT
Founding partners raised over $60M in seed captital to build the founding Archer team to embark on a new mission.​
